Two Algerian movies compete at 25th FESPACO

ABIDJAN (Ivory Coast)- Two Algerian movies "Le Puits" (The Well), by Lotfi Bouchouchi, and "Les Tourmentes" (Torments), by Sidali Fettar, will compete for the "Gold Stallion of Yennenga" award at the 25th Pan-African Film Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), from Feb 25 to Mar 4, in Burkina Faso's capital, organizers said Thursday in Abidjan.
The two movies will be in competition in the "fiction feature film section" with 18 other productions from 14 African countries.
The list of the competing fiction feature films includes "Lilia, A Tunisian Girl," by Mohamed Zran (Tunisia), "Frontiers," by Apolline Woye Traori (Ivory Coast), "Life Point," by Brice Achille (Cameroon), and "Wulu," by David Coulibaly (Mali).
FESPACO will be held under the theme "Training, Cinema and Audiovisual Trades," with Ivory Coast as the guest of honour.
