Algeria, Kazakhstan work to heighten level of economic relations

ALGIERS – Algeria and Kazakhstan work to heighten the level of their economic relations, said Thursday in Algiers Commissioner of the International Specialized Exhibition Astana 2017, Rapil Zhoshybayev.
"Our economic relations have not reached the expected level because of the far distance between Algeria and Kazakhstan, but we are working to multiply the meetings and the exchanges between the two countries’ operators so to improve the level of the bilateral cooperation," he told the press his meeting with Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra.
Rapil said that his visit to Algeria "was for the signature of the contract on the Algerian participation to the Astana EXPO-2017."
The Kazakh official affirmed that there is "no political divergence between the two countries which celebrate 20 years of their diplomatic relations.”
Moreover, he said that this exhibition dedicated to the development of renewable energy, solar energy and new technologies "will provide an opportunity to exchange views in order to improve the level of economic relations "between the two countries.
