Tebboune chairs Arab League Economic and Social Council meeting in Cairo

CAIRO (Egypt)- Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and Town, acting Minister of Trade Abdelmadjid Tebboune chaired Thursday, in Cairo, the 99th session of the Arab League Economic and Social Council, devoted to discuss important issues relating to joint Arab socio-economic actions.
The agenda of the meeting, being held with the participation of Arab ministers of Economy, Finance and Trade, in the presence of the representatives of different Arab specialized organizations, includes important issues relating to joint Arab socio-economic action.
One of the issues high on the agenda is the definition of the points that will be included in the debate on economic and social issues during the next Arab summit in Jordan.
The participants discussed the development of the Arab free-trade area and Arab custom union.
They also examined cooperation between the Arab League and the United Nations in the socio-economic field, the implementation of the decisions taken at the ninth Arab-African summit in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, investments in the Arab world and the green belts project in Arab countries.
