APS - 05 January 2021

ALGIERS- An application offering Algerians living abroad the possibility to pay in foreign currency for products purchased remotely from Algeria and deliver them to the homes of their relatives in the various provinces of the country, was launched by the startup "Temtem," said Monday the Ministry of Economy, Knowledge and Startups, in a statement.

This multi-service application, named "Temtem One" allows the Algerian diaspora to "pay for their orders with a VISA, MasterCard or American express card and enter the address and phone number of relatives in Algeria for "Temtem One" to deliver them within 2 hours in express mode within 1 to 5 days depending on the region of their residence," said the source.

This multiservice application, called "Temtem One" allows the Algerian diaspora to "pay its orders with a VISA, MasterCard or American express card and enter the address and phone number of relatives in Algeria so that "Temtem One" will deliver them within 2 hours in express mode or between 1 to 5 days depending on the region of their residence," added the source.

For Algiers for example, the inhabitants are "delivered within 24 hours," according to the same source.

This application was launched in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic which has greatly limited travel in Algeria and elsewhere, the ministry said, noting that the diaspora can no longer find their relatives for almost a year because of the pandemic.
