ORAN-The International Agriculture Show (West Agro-Events 2022) kicked off Tuesday in Oran, with the participation of 50 exhibitors.
This event, themed "Agriculture at the Service of National Sovereignty," is attended by national public and private companies and Chinese ones, in addition to representatives of foreign companies operating in Algeria and national organizations involved in plant and animal health, financial companies, and professional associations.
The stands of this show held inside a giant tent at "Djanattu El Ahlam" amusement park, house various types of agricultural sectors including varieties of vegetable seeds, cereals, pulses, and fruit trees such as citrus fruits, especially the "Clementine" variety, grown in Misserghine and Boutlelis, in the province of Oran.
According to the Head of the Production and Technical Support Department at the Directorate of Agricultural Services of Oran, Mohamed Amine Messabih, the event will showcase the national agricultural product and Algeria's potential in this sector. It will also highlight the skills of farmers in developing specific sectors, livestock breeding, and milk production.
The show is also an opportunity for farmers to learn about the latest developments in agricultural equipment used in various sectors, such as cereals, poultry, and beef farming, dairy production, agricultural irrigation equipment, especially pivot sprinklers and drip irrigation, as well as plant protection products, storage, and cooling equipment.
