ORAN-Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Aimene Benabderrahmane said Monday that the requests for private investment in the air transport sector are on the rise and "under consideration."
On the sidelines of a presentation on the project of the new terminal of Oran Ahmed Benbella International Airport as part of his working visit to the province of Oran, the PM called on private businessmen "to invest in the air transport sector."
Benabderrahmane stressed that Algeria needs "more airports, operators and airlines to cover domestic needs."
The Premier referred to a "lack" of air transport services in some regions such as the High Plateaus and southern region, "hence the need for private operators and new airlines."
Benabderrahmane is accompanied by the Ministers of Public Works Kamel Nasri, Transport Aissa Bekkai, Youth and Sports Abderezak Sebgag and Housing, Urban Planning and City Mohamed Tarek Belaribi.
