SADR 45th anniversary: Algeria reaffirms "unwavering, unconditional" support for Sahrawi people

APS - 27 February 2021

AOUSERD (Sahrawi Refugee Camps)-Algeria reaffirmed, Saturday, its "unwavering and unconditional" support for the Sahrawi people's right to self-determination, denouncing "the transgression of international law, dubious markets, permission for the bloodshed of Sahrawis and the spoliation of their land and wealth."

Speaking on the sidelines of the celebrations of the 45th anniversary of the proclamation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), the Vice-President of the Council of the Nation, Ghazi Djabri said that "Algeria reaffirms its unwavering and unconditional support for the legitimate struggle of the Sahrawi people to exercise their right to self-determination under the auspices of the United Nations."

"Algeria, its people, government and army reiterates its commitment to the Sahrawi cause and its support to Sahrawis' right to a permanent Sovereignty," said Djabri who led a delegation of members of the Council of the Nation participating in this celebration.

Stressing that the SADR has become "a symbol of resistance" and "a universal slogan of the rule of law, thanks to the sacrifices of its martyrs and the resistance of its people," the council's vice president hailed the Sahrawis' rejection of the occupier's humiliation," which arrogantly persists in going against the tide of history.
