ALGIERS- Algeria has been elected president of the executive board of the Arab Water Council for 2022-2023 term, Algeria's ambassador to Cairo (Egypt) told APS on Thursday.
Iraq was elected as vice-president of the Council for the same term.
The executive board is composed of Algeria, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Mauritania, Yemen, Egypt and Iraq.
The 13th session of the Arab Water Council took place from 14 to 18 November at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo.
