Belhimer expresses Algeria's "permanent" will to support common Arab action

ALGIERS- Minister of Communication, spokesperson for the Government Amar Belhimer on Wednesday in expressed Algeria's permanent will to support joint Arab action, particularly in media, said a ministry's press release.

Meeting with Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, on the sidelines of the proceedings of the Arab Information Ministers Council, Belhimer welcomed the results of this meeting, stressing " Algeria's permanent desire to support common Arab action, particularly through media."

Minister of Communication gave a brief presentation on the political dynamics experienced by Algeria, in particular the legislative elections of June 12, describing it as "a new positive step forward in the process of building the new Algeria".

Belhimer and Aboul Gheit also discussed Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum's decision to hold the next Arab summit in Algeria.

Secretary General of the Arab League welcomed the decision. He recalled his meeting with President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, he commended "wisdom" and "clairvoyance."

Aboul Gheit also said he admired the "peaceful" Algerian Hirak.
