ALGIERS- President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has decided to appoint seven special envoys positions in order to lead Algeria's international action and to launch a vast movement in the diplomatic corps which will include more than 70 diplomatic and consular posts.
This decision aims to make the Algerian diplomacy more flexible and efficient to be able to face the multiple current challenges.
The seven special envoys appointed, who will work under the direct authority of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will lead Algeria's international action on seven key areas reflecting the country's interests and priorities.
This operation is intended to strengthen Algerian diplomacy and make the country's actions efficient on the regional and international levels.
The envoys are executives who have developed extensive experience and will accompany the Minister of Foreign Affairs, in particular, in terms of analysis and anticipation in the perspective outlined by the Head of State concerning a truly dynamic and proactive diplomacy, which can be able to have initiative capacities on major regional and international issues and be part of a logic of influence to strengthen the role of Algeria as a middle power producing and exporting peace, stability and security.
