ALGIERS- The minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, handed over a message from President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Emir du Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Djaber Al-Sabah.
Following his participation in an Arab Foreign Minister consultation meeting, Lamamra was received on the second day of his visit to Kuwait, as the special representative of President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, by the deputy Emir of the State of Kuwait, the crown prince Sheikh Meshal Al- Ahmed Al-Djaber Al-Sabah, and by the Prime Minister, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
The Foreign Minister held extensive discussions with his Kuwaiti counterpart, Dr Ahmed Nasser Al-Mohammed Al-Djaber Al-Sabah, the statement added.
He was received by the deputy Emir of Kuwait, the crown prince Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmed Al-Djaber Al-Sabah to whom he handed over a message from President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al-Djaber Al-Sabah.
Lamamra's meetings and discussions with the political officials of the brother State of Kuwait were "marked by fraternity," reflecting the depth of the bilateral, historical relations, according to the statement.
The Algerian and Kuwaiti officials focused on the achievements made by the two countries through mutual support and solidarity.
They also stressed the need to take advantage of the factors of complementarity to strengthen the different strategic dimensions of bilateral cooperation and partnership in line with the guidelines of the leaders of the two countries.
Sheikh Meshal asked Lamamra to convey "his greetings to President Tebboune and the Algerian people," expressing his thanks and Kuwaiti political officials' consideration for Algeria's positions of principle and solidarity with Kuwait and the other Gulf States.
The crown prince seized the opportunity to praise the fraternal and historical relations between the two brother peoples and countries.
During their discussions, the two sides tackled the issues and challenges facing Arab countries, welcoming the convergence of views of the two sister countries over several issues and crises shaking the Arab region and the world, which shows the depth of the relationship between the two countries and their political will to achieve stability in the region, the statement added.
Lamamra was also received by the Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
