Lamamra received, in Dakar, by Senegalese President

DAKAR- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ramtane Lamamra was received Tuesday, in Dakar, by Senegal's President Macky Sall, on the sidelines of his participation in the 8th ministerial meeting of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.

Lamamra transmitted to the Senegalese President an oral message from President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune, as well as his fraternal greetings, congratulating him on the good organization of this important meeting.

For his part, the Senegalese President expressed his thanks for Algeria's participation in this meeting as well as his consideration for our country's commitment to achieving the interests of the African continent.

In anticipation of the rotating presidency of AU by Senegal, as from next February, the two sides broached the main issues on the agenda of the African organization and exchanged views on the political and security crises that some African countries, like Libya and Mali, are facing.

At the bilateral level, the two sides also agreed on the necessity of intensifying the consultations between the two countries and examining ways and mechanisms to develop the economic and commercial relations between Algeria and Senegal, in accordance with the two countries' capacities.

Lamamra is taking part, at the invitation of his Chinese and Senegalese counterparts, in the 8th ministerial session of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Dakar (Senegal), which kicked off on Monday and will last two days.
