Libya: Lamamra holds talks with SG of Arab League

ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, held Monday in Algiers with Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, before the start of the ministerial meeting of Libya's neighboring countries.

"I thank my friend Ramtane Lamamra, to whom I expressed my readiness to participate in the ministerial meeting of Libya's neighboring countries to bring them together," said to the press Aboul Gheit after his meeting with Lamamra.

"Our brothers in Libya, the Libyan society and the Libyan state need a sincere effort of all brothers to achieve understanding in Libya," added the Secretary General of the Arab League.

"Progress has concretized since the first conference in Berlin," ha said hoping that this meeting will help achieving fair elections and stability on Libya.

The meeting was an opportunity "to discuss Arab and African issues," he said.

"We will be honored to meet President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to whom we will always listen with interest," said Aboul Gheit.
