ALGIERS- Three military cargo aircrafts of the Air Forces of the People's National Army landed Friday evening in Algiers, coming from China, loaded with 41 tons of medical equipment destined to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, said Saturday a communiqué of the National Defense Ministry.
"Three military cargo aircrafts –type IL 76- coming under the Algerian Air Forces, coming from China, landed on Friday 3 July 2020 at 9.00 p.m. at the international airport Houari Boumediene loaded with 41 tons of medical equipment destined to contain the spread of Covid-19 pandemic," said the source.
"It must be pointed out that the military cargo aircrafts have carried out, since the beginning of these operations, 14 flights cumulating thereby 378 flight hours enabling the delivery of about 183 tons of medical equipment," said the source, adding that "this confirms the predisposition of the People's National Army and its components, notably on the eve of the commemoration of the 58th anniversary of the Independence Recovery and of Youth."
