ALGIERS- The National Liberation Front (FLN) came first in local elections with 5,978 seats in 124 APCs across 42 provinces and 471 seats in APWs across 25 provinces, president of the National Independent Authority for Elections(ANIE), Mohamed Charfi, announced on Tuesday at a press conference devoted to the presentation of the provisional results of the November 27 local elections.
It is followed by the National Democratic Rally (RND) with 4,584 seats in 58 APCs across 27 provinces, the independent lists with 4,430 seats in 91 APCs across 24 provinces and the El Mostakbel Front with 3,262 seats in 34 APCs across 18 provinces.
In the APW, the FLN is closely followed by the independent lists with 443 seats across 10 provinces, the National Democratic Rally (RND) with 366 seats across 13 provinces, El Mostakbel Front with 304 seats across 12 provinces, and the Movement of Society for Peace (MSP) with 239 seats across 5 provinces.
