ALGIERS – Nearly 280 people have participated in the third Summer University of Algerian-US foundation for Culture, Education, Science and Technology (AAF-CEST) which was held from July 18th to August 29th.
Doctoral students, master's students and university teachers as well as renowned Algerian researchers in the United States and elsewhere activating in different scientific fields, participated in this third edition which proceedings focused renewable energy, biology, biotechnology, health, civil engineering, architecture and town planning, IT and cybersecurity, the organizing party said.
Nearly 280 people among them doctoral students, master's students and university teachers as well as renowned Algerian researchers in the United States and elsewhere took part in this work.
Taha Merghoub Chairman of the AAF-CEST Foundation said that his institution worked to "maintain this initiative, which began in 2018, despite the difficulties imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic", before expressing his "satisfaction with the success that marked the 3rd edition."
The Ministry of Higher Education's Director General of Scientific Research and Technological Development Hafid Aourag, and the advisor in charge of cultural and scientific affairs at the Algerian embassy in Washington, Taha Bencherif have also thanked the organizers for this "beneficial initiative for the Algerian students."
They voiced continued support for the efforts of the Foundation, and expressed their "readiness to endorse its activities aimed at providing our country with the experience and knowledge of our national experts established abroad."
