Africa Wrestling Championships (senior men): Algeria snatches nine medals, including 5 gold

AL JADIDA (Morocco): The Algerian wrestlers (senior men) grabbed on Saturday, in Al Jadida (Morocco), nine medals (5 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze) in the Greco-Roman Wrestling event of the African Championships, winning the first place by teams.

Algeria's five gold medals were harvested by Abdelkrim Fergat (60 kg), Abdeldjebbar Djebbari (63 kg), Abdelkrim Ouakali (77 kg), Sid Azara Bachir (87 kg) and Adem Boudjemline (97 kg).

The two silver medals were snatched by Mohamed-Yacine Dridi (55 kg) and Ishak Ghaiou (67 kg), while Hichem Kouchit (130 kg) and Walid Ghaiou (72 kg) won the bronze medals.
