Hammad re-elected chair of Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee

ALGIERS-The outgoing chair of the Algerian Olympic and Sports Committee (COA) Abderrahmane Hammad has been re-elected for a three year term (2021-2024) at the elective general assembly held Tuesday in Algiers.
The high jump bronze medalist at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games won 105 votes against 48 for his competitor and chairman of the Algerian Swimming Federation Mohamed-Hakim Boughadou.
Seventy-nine (79) of the 93 COA GA members attended the election that is still ongoing to form the executive board of the next Olympic term.
