BRUSSELS- The participation of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR) in the Brussels Summit, which brought together the African and European leaders, "is a great political and diplomatic victory," given its dimensions in terms of enshrining the Sahrawi Republic as an "undeniable reality," underlined Oubi Bouchraya El Bachir, member of the National Secretariat of the Polisario Front for Europe and the European Union (EU).

"SADR's participation in the works of EU-AU Summit alongside 82 countries of the two continents is of a major legal and political importance" and constitutes "a great diplomatic victory," said Oubi Bouchraya El Bachir, quoted by the Sahrawi news agency SPS.

The Sahrawi diplomat dubbed "important event" SADR's presence on Thursday and Friday in Brussels, pointing out that this participation "conveyed a message to the European leaders to change their status as a part of the issue to become a part of the solution to the conflict in Western Sahara as part of the partnership between AU and EU."

For Oubi Bouchraya, the participation in the Brussels Summit of a large Sahrawi delegation, under the chairmanship of SADR's President Brahim Ghali, "reflects a conclusive failure of the Moroccan occupier art the African and European levels."

In this respect, he said that the Sahrawi President informed, during the Summit of Brussels, the European and African leaders about the latest developments of the Sahrawi conflict, and called on Europe to "accompany the African Union in its intense efforts for the decolonization of Africa's last colony."
