Premier gets vaccinated against Covid-19

ALGIERS-Prime Minister Abdelaziz Djerad on Sunday got vaccinated against the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) under the vaccination campaign launched symbolically on Sunday in the province of Blida (50 km west of Algiers), which was the first cluster of the pandemic.

Djerad got vaccinated at "Les Sources" polyclinic under the Bouchenafa local healthcare facility.

The first doses of the Russian vaccine "SputniK 5" on Friday landed at the military airport of Boufarik.

In anticipation of the launch of this vaccination campaign, which will be supervised by the Pasteur Institute, the Ministry of Health has provided all the means countrywide.

Nearly 8,000 vaccination centers at hospitals, polyclinics and local healthcare facilities with experience in this field have been mobilized for the vaccination campaign against Covid-19.
