Algeria receives over 200,000 doses of Russian vaccine

ALGIERS- Over 200,000 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, purchased from Russia, were received Monday by Algeria, the Ministry of National Defense announced on Tuesday.

"As part of the continued aimed at containing the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19), a military aircraft coming under the Air Forces of the People's National Army landed on Monday in the air base of Boufarik (1st Military Region) carrying a shipment of vaccines estimated at 206,000 doses purchased from Russia," said the source.

This operation "is part of supporting the national health system with vaccines and the necessary medical equipment to contain the pandemic," added the source.
