Coronavirus: 131 new cases, 96 recoveries and four deaths in Algeria

ALGIERS- A total of 131 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, 96 recoveries and four deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in Algeria, announced Wednesday, in Algiers, the Ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform in a statement.

The total number of confirmed cases has reached 117,192, including 131 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, that of deaths 3,093 while the number of recovered patients has reached 81,538, said the source.

However, 15 patients are currently under intensive care, said the source.

A total of 22 provinces haven't recorded any cases in the last 24 hours, 23 others recorded between 1 and nine cases while three provinces recorded more than 10 cases, according to the source.

The ministry underlines that the current epidemiological situation requires from all citizens vigilance and respect of the hygiene rules and physical distancing, stressing the obligation of wearing masks and respecting the lockdown.
