Coronavirus: 164 new cases, 148 recoveries, 7 deaths

ALGIERS- A total of 164 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 148 recoveries and seven deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the ministry of Health said Tuesday in a statement.

The number of confirmed cases in Algeria amounts to 264.365, the number of deaths to 6812 and that of recovered patients to 176.966, the statement said.

In addition, 18 patients are under intensive care, according to the statement.

The statement added that 25 provinces have had no positive cases in the last twenty-four hours, 20 others have reported between one and nine cases while three provinces have recorded at least 10 cases.

The ministry stressed that the current epidemiological situation requires vigilance and observation of the rules of hygiene and physical distancing.

It recalled the obligation of compliance with the lockdown measures and wearing masks.
