Coronavirus: 168 new cases, 116 recoveries, 11 deaths

ALGIERS- A total of 168 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 116 recoveries and 11 deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the ministry of Health said Tuesday in a statement.

The number of confirmed cases in Algeria amounts to 203,045, including the 168 new cases in the last 24 hours, the number of deaths to 5.797 and that of recovered patients to 139.077, the statement said.

Par ailleurs, 18 patients sont actuellement en soins intensifs, ajoute la même source.

The statement added that 21 provinces have had no positive cases in the last twenty-four hours, 21 others have reported between one and nine cases while six provinces have recorded at least 10 cases.

The ministry stressed that the current epidemiological situation requires vigilance and observation of the rules of hygiene and physical distancing.

It recalled the obligation of compliance with the lockdown measures and wearing of masks.
