Coronavirus: 172 new cases, 119 recoveries and four deaths

ALGIERS- A total of 172 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 119 recoveries and four deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the Ministry of Health said Tuesday in a statement.

The number of confirmed cases in Algeria amounts to 209.283, the number of deaths to 6.030 and that of recovered patients to 143.532, the statement said.

In addition, 21 patients are under intensive care, according to the statement.

A total of 22 provinces didn't record any cases in the last 24 hours, 22 others recorded between 1 and 9 cases while four provinces have recorded more than 10 cases, according to the source.

The ministry stressed that the current epidemiological situation requires vigilance and observation of the rules of hygiene and physical distancing.

It recalled the obligation of compliance with the lockdown measures and wearing masks.
