Coronavirus: 195 new cases, 149 recoveries, 8 deaths

ALGIERS- A total of 195 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 149 recoveries and eight deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform said Tuesday in a statement.

The number of confirmed cases in Algeria amounts to 124,483, including the 195 new cases in the past 24 hours, the number of deaths to 3343 and that of recovered patients to 86,703, the statement said.

In addition, 19 patients are under intensive care, according to the statement.

The statement added that 22 provinces have had no positive cases in the last twenty-four hours, 22 others have reported between one and nine cases while four provinces have recorded more than 10 cases.

The ministry stressed that the current epidemiological situation requires vigilance and observation of the rules of hygiene and physical distancing.

It recalled the obligation of compliance with the lockdown and wearing of masks.
