Coronavirus: 2211 new cases, 988 recoveries and 13 deaths

ALGIERS- A total of 2211 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 988 recoveries and 13 deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the Ministry of Health said Saturday in a statement.

The number of confirmed cases in Algeria amounts to 234.536, the number of deaths to 6.481 and that of recovered patients to 158.616, the statement said.

In addition, 43 patients are currently under intensive care, according to the statement.

A total of 7 provinces didn't record any cases in the last 24 hours, 15 others recorded between 1 and 9 cases while 26 provinces have recorded more than 10 cases, according to the source.

The ministry stressed that the current epidemiological situation requires vigilance and observation of the rules of hygiene and physical distancing, while insisting on the obligation of wearing masks.
