Coronavirus: 247 new cases, 151 recoveries, 8 deaths

ALGIERS- A total of 247 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 151 recoveries and eight deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the ministry of Health, Population and Hospital Reform said Monday in a statement.

The number of confirmed cases in Algeria amounts to 127,107, including the 247 new cases in the past 24 hours, the number of deaths to 3,426 and that of recovered patients to 88,497, the statement said.

In addition, 20 patients are under intensive care, according to the statement.

The statement added that 21 provinces have had no positive cases in the last twenty-four hours, 18 others have reported between one and nine cases while nine provinces have recorded more than 10 cases.

The ministry stressed that the current epidemiological situation requires vigilance and observation of the rules of hygiene and physical distancing.

It recalled the obligation of compliance with the lockdown and wearing of masks.
