Coronavirus: 310 new cases, 192 recoveries, 8 deaths

ALGIERS- A total of 310 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 192 recoveries and eight deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the ministry of Health said Tuesday in a statement.

The number of confirmed cases in Algeria amounts to 215.145, the number of deaths to 6.198 and that of recovered patients to 148.021, the statement said.

In addition, 21 patients are under intensive care, according to the statement.

The statement added that 18 provinces have had no positive cases in the last twenty-four hours, 19 others have reported between one and nine cases while eight provinces have recorded at least 11 cases.

The ministry stressed that the current epidemiological situation requires vigilance and observation of the rules of hygiene and physical distancing.

It recalled the obligation of compliance with the lockdown measures and wearing masks.
