Coronavirus: 447 new cases, 344 recoveries, 33 deaths

ALGIERS- A total of 447 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 344 recoveries and 33 deaths have been reported over the last 24 hours in Algeria, the ministry of Health said Wednesday in a statement.

The number of confirmed cases in Algeria amounts to 196,527, including the 447 new cases in the last 24 hours, the number of deaths to 5,302 and that of recovered patients to 133,739, the statement said.

In addition, 35 patients are under intensive care, according to the statement.

The ministry stressed that the current epidemiological situation requires vigilance and observation of the rules of hygiene and physical distancing.

It recalled the obligation of compliance with the lockdown measures and wearing of masks.
