Coronavirus: 502 new cases, 540 recoveries and 8 deaths

ALGIERS - 502 new confirmed cases of Coronavirus (Covid-19), 540 recoveries, and 8 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in Algeria, the Ministry of Health said Monday in a statement.

The total number of confirmed cases reached 258478, the number of deaths increased to 6654, while the number of patients who recovered rose to 172081 cases, said the ministry.

In addition, 34 patients are currently under intensive care, the same source added.

Moreover, 15 provinces haven't recorded any cases during the last 24 hours, 17 others recorded from 1 to 9 cases, while 16 provinces reported more than 10 cases, concluded the source.
