ALGIERS- Ninety-one (91) new coronavirus confirmed cases (Covid-19), 93 recoveries and 2 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours in Algeria, the spokesperson for the Scientific Committee in charge of monitoring the coronavirus pandemic Dr Djamel Fourar announced in Algiers on Sunday.
The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus thus amounts to 116,157 including 91 new cases during the last 24 hours, or 0.2 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, that of deaths to 3,057 cases, while the number of patients who recovered rose to 80,659, Dr Fourar told the daily press briefing on the evolution of the Covid-19 pandemic.
In addition, 10 patients are currently in intensive care units, said Dr Djamel Fourar.
In addition, 22 provinces recorded during the last 24 hours less than 9 cases, 24 provinces recorded no cases, while 2 others recorded 10 cases and more.
