APS - 26 December 2020

ALGIERS- Artist painter Merouane Kreddia unveiled on Saturday in Algiers his first individual exhibition entitled "Algiers the blue "which celebrates the sea in all its aspects and the city of Algiers from different points of view with a research work on the nuances of blue.

Inaugurated at the "Ezzou'Art" art gallery, this exhibition includes around twenty works by Merouane Kreddia exclusively made with a knife and during this period of health crisis.

The artist offers several large format paintings, made on canvas, of coastal landscapes and particularly a night view of the port of Algiers from the sea sublimated by the reflections of city lights on the water and a particularly radiant focus on the Djamâa Jdid mosque.

Self-taught painter, Merouane Kreddia began to publish photos of his works on social networks and took advantage of the first months of lockdown to improve painting.

The "Algiers, the blue" exhibition is open to visitors at the "Ezzou'Art" gallery until January 14th.
