Arab League SG commends Algeria's "key role" in addressing regional, international issues

ALGIERS- Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, welcomed Algeria's "key role" in the multiple regional and international issues, welcoming in this regard the latest measures decided by President of the Republic, Abdelamdjid Tebboune, aimed at strengthening the role of Algerian diplomacy, said Tuesday the National Economic, Social and Environmental Council (CNESE) in a statement.

This recognition was given on Monday by Secretary General of the Arab League, to the CNESE president, Rédha Tir, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, where he "praised Algeria's key role in addressing the various regional and international issues."

He further welcomed "the latest measures and initiatives taken by President Tebboune to strengthen the role of Algerian diplomacy and renew Algeria's will to peacefully finalize internal reforms.

This meeting took place on the sidelines of the 47th session of the Arab Labour Conference, whose work began on Monday in Cairo, in the presence of the Egyptian Prime Minister, several Arab ministers and the SG of the Arab League, as well as members of delegations of employers' organizations and trade unions of 21 Arab countries, in addition to representatives of Arab and international organizations and many ambassadors.
