ALGIERS- Foreign Minister, Sabri Boukadoum, held talks Wednesday with Togolese counterpart, Robert Dussey, on the latest developments in the region, particularly in the Republic of Mali.
"Exchange of views and coordinated positions on the latest developments recorded in the region, particularly the Republic of Mali were the main subjects of the telephone interview held with my counterpart and my dear brother, Robert Dussey, Foreign Minister of the Togolese Republic," wrote Boukadoum in a Tweet.
The situation in Mali has worsened since Head of Transition, Bah N'daw, and his Prime Minister, Moctar Ouane, have been dismissed from their posts by late May, an event that has marked the second unconstitutional change achieved, in 9 months, by colonel, Assimi Goita in Bamako.
Algeria has "strongly expressed its rejection" of any action that seeks to change, by using force, the government in Mali, said FM calling on Malian actors to favor dialogue to ensure a peaceful transaction's progress.
