ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, held, as part of his working visit to the United Arab Emirates in his capacity as the personal envoy of President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, a long working session with his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah Ben Zayed, said Saturday the Foreign Ministry in a statement.
"The two heads of diplomacy focused on bilateral relations and discussed ways to strengthen them," said the source.
"They further addressed regional issues of common interest including those relating to recent developments in the Arab world and the prospects of joint Arab action," said the same source.
In this regard, the two ministers highlighted "the deep historical relationship between the two countries and their brotherly people," stressing "the need to coordinate efforts to promote bilateral relations in terms of politics and economy.
Therefore, "the two sides agreed to strengthen their bilateral cooperation, including the Joint Committee on Cooperation and the Political Consultation Committee, in addition to the exchange of visits regularly at the ministerial level, according to the source.
Moreover, "The two ministers agreed to continue consultation and coordination to achieve the objectives of joint Arab action and meet the challenges caused by the various crises that threaten peace, security, stability, and development in the Arab region," concluded the ministry.
