Moroccan forces brutally repress peaceful Sahrawi protest in occupied Al-Ayun

AL AYUN (Occupied Sahrawi territories)- Moroccan occupying forces brutally dispersed protesters, who staged a peaceful demonstration in the occupied city of Al-Ayun on Saturday to express their solidarity with Sahrawi political prisoners and denounce the occupation policies in the region, said the Sahrawi news agency SPS, citing sources from Al-Ayun.
The brutal intervention left scores injured, some of them seriously injured were rushed to hospital, said the sources.
The peaceful protest follows a call launched by human rights activists, politicians and trade unionists in solidarity with all Sahrawi political prisoners.
Last Friday, the Moroccan occupying forces arrested three Sahrawi activists in the occupied city of Boujdour for having participated in a peaceful protest claiming the right to self-determination.
