President Tebboune holds phone talk with French counterpart

ALGIERS- President of the Republic Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Saturday had a telephone conversation with his French counterpart, Emanuel Macron, the presidency said in a statement.

"The meeting took place in an atmosphere of perfect cordiality and shared friendship, and allowed the two presidents to review bilateral relations, to agree to resume contacts at the highest level and relaunch cooperation in all areas," the statement said.

The two presidents had "an exchange of views on regional issues of common interest, in the light of the latest developments, in the Sahel and Libya, on which there was a convergence of views.
