Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha confirmed as chief of Army Staff

ALGIERS- Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha has been confirmed as chief of staff of the People's National Army, the ministry of National Defence said Friday in a statement.
Lieutenant General Saïd Chanegriha had been acting chief of Staff of the People's National Army since 23 December 219, following the death of Lieutenant General Ahmed Gaid Salah, the former deputy minister of National Defence and former chief of the Army Staff.
President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, on Thursday awarded Major General Saïd Chanegriha the rank of lieutenant general.
