Algeria qualify into CAN-2021 following draw against Zimbabwe (2-2)

HARARE- The Algerian football team qualified into the final phase of the African Cup of Nations 2021 (CAN-2021), after their Round 4 draw 2-2 (half-time: 2-1), Monday in Harare against the Zimbabwean team.

The Desert Foxes took the lead 2-0 thanks to Andy Delort (34' minutes) and Riyad Mahrez (38'), before Zimbabwe equalized through Knowledge Musona by a free kick (44') and Prince Dube (82e).

Following this draw, the national team leads group H with 10 points, followed by Zimbabwe (5 pts), Zambia (3 pts) and Botswana (1 pt). Algeria is the second country qualified for the final phase of CAN-2021, postponed to 2022 in Cameroon because of the Coronavirus pandemic, after Senegal.
