Football Cup of Algeria 2020 cancelled

ALGIERS- The Algerian Football Cup2019-2020, suspended last March due to the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), has been canceled, the Algerian Federation (FAF) told APS on Sunday.

"During a meeting held on Sunday with the clubs still in the competition, we decided to cancel the current edition of the Algerian Cup," Larbi Oumamar, member of the Bureau, told APS.

The decision is expected to be validated on Tuesday at the meeting of the Bureau.
The popular event was suspended last March, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, at the end of the quarter-finals (first leg) played on March 10 and 11. The teams that were involved are ES Sétif, CABB Arreridj, WA Boufarik, US Biskra, Paradou AC, USM Bel-Abbès, ASM Oran, and A Boussaâda.
