Three Algerians qualified for World Youth Chess Championship

ORAN- Three Algerian chess players qualified for the next World Youth Chess Championship after the events of the African Schools Online Individual Chess Championships, wrapped up Friday evening after five days of competition.

Algeria succeeded in snatching the gold medal by Ramoul Naila Nour in the category U11, Ines Belattar and Rami Beghriche in the category U15.

According to the chairman of the Algerian Chess Federation Djelloul Brahim Azzedine, "these achievements are the fruit of a programme has already been drawn up by the national technical directorate for three years. The young chess players who succeeded in the African Schools Championships were all competitive."

The African Schools Online Individual Chess Championships, organized under the aegis of the African Chess Confederation, brought together more than 100 young girls and boys aged 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17, representing 20 countries of the continent.
