World Handball Championship 2021: Algeria beat Poland (26-23)

WARSAW-The Algerian handball team beat their Polish counterparts 26-23 (halftime: 12-12) in a friendly game played Monday in Wladyslawowo under the preparation of the World Men's 2021IHF World Men's Handball Championship.

The national team, which is on training in Poland until 30 December, will play another friendly match against Poland on Tuesday. They will then participate with four teams in the International Warsaw Tournament scheduled for 27-29 December.

In addition to Poland (host country) and Algeria, the Warsaw tournament will involve Russia, Switzerland and Egypt.

The national team will also partake in a pre-competition training in Manama (Bahrain) as of 6 January. They will play against the Bahraini team on 8 and 10 January.

The Greens will then fly to Cairo on 11 January to compete in the World Handball Championship 2021. They will start the competition with games against Morocco on 14 January, Island on 16 January and Portugal on 18 January.
